Together with Polynesia the parrot, Jip the dog, and an African prince named Bumpo, they set out in search of the famed naturalist Long Arrow, son of Golden Arrow, who has gone missing.
This is the second book in Hugh Lofting’s Doctor Dolittle series . It was awarded the 1923 Newbery Medal .
