Charles Beaumont was an American author and screenwriter. Besides publishing a considerable number of short stories, Beaumont is best known for his work on movies and television shows, especially the The Twilight Zone , in which some of his short stories were adapted into episodes, often by himself.

Most of his work is still under copyright; the few short stories believed to be in the U.S. public domain are collected in this Standard Ebooks edition.
